Fall Foliage Scenic Drive in Rhode Island

Rhode Iceland may be the smallest state in the Union, but when it comes to scenic drives, and one of the best. About 400 km of coastline and percent of Americas National Historic Landmark, Rhode Iceland has a number of magazines in the fall entertainment Riverwalk.
The trip is hard way 61 miles to Panorama Street Block 1A in Iceland, north again to follow the western shore of Narragansett Bay. It of the time cycle, Highway 138 East and the history of Newport and shot a beautiful 10 km Ocean Drive.

Many detours on the way to the lighthouse, walk Wildlife Refuge, walking along the beach, walking and quiet town in the autumn splendor. And if one more day, Marina and the Point Judith ferry to Block Iceland and have to rent bicycles to explore and enjoy a reduced dramatically. But back to the group, and let begins .Perform a scenic drive south of U.S. Highway 1A west wind. Looking for a sign Watch Hill Road, which leads to Watch Hill, perfectly preserved Victorian seaside resort.
Watch Hill attractions such as the Flying Horse Carousel, ride the carousel has worked on all year in the United States, and the Watch Hill Lighthouse, a masterpiece of granite and brick, in the 19 Century dress. The lighthouse is a parking Park and 15 minutes on foot you need then is replaced - but of the value!
Still scenic route, reduction in U.S. 1A and then east. Route 1A connect Route 1, if you go, and the Charlestown Point Judith area. This part of the device has several beaches, dunes, protected openings, bays and salt marshes and the tracks of wild animals by natural barriers to the beaches of Iceland block sound.
Follow Route 1 and Route 108 intersection and head toward South Point Judith and the intersection of Route 1A. Drive, near the Point Judith Lighthouse built 1857th different view of the block of Iceland and many of the rock horizon. The island is easily reached by ferry Point Judith, and a popular destination for a few days during the autumn leaves.
Take Route 1A North and Narragansett Pier and the surrounding farms Pettaquamscutt River. This area of stonewalls and forests are home to many plantations of Rhode Iceland, its official name of Rhode Iceland and Providence Plantation. Autumn leaves are falling in the forest on fire and add color to cover the travel expenses to meet the Scenic Drive to the north, to Route 138, then east along Route 138 Jamestown, Conanicut Island Bridge and the beautiful bridge in Newport, Newport City - once the home "America's Cup, and also the sailing capital of the world.
Newport is situated at the southern tip of Rhode Iceland, and the end of this beautiful autumn color. And one of my favorite cities in New England - the whole year - but especially in autumn. Its a lot to see and how you see .
If the Newport Bridge, follow the signs to the transport center. Follow the main road through the port area, with views of the streets and millions of dollars by a major yachts at anchor in the harbor. In addition, the road is Memorial Boulevard Bellevue Avenue is correct.
Bellevue Avenue many famous houses in Newport, and when the time is always worth a visit for some distance. Now you can enjoy the villa, "as a day guide for the purpose and the use of Ocean Drive.Ocean Drive is a 10-mile route from Bellevue Avenue and Ocean Avenue on a rocky peninsula, fishing, beaches and parks.
Ocean Avenue is probably the most important part of the natural beauty of the stone houses, beautiful neck under the omnipotence of the Atlantic Ocean. In the street of Ocean Drive, Brenton State Park is a popular stop place for picnics and kites - have tables and grills, if you remember to bring charcoal.
At the top of the park return on Newport Harbor and spend all Castle Hill Lighthouse, Hammersmith Farm - Jackie Kennedy, where he spent his childhood - and Fort Adams Park
Fort Adams State Park is on Harrison Avenue and another big goal for another day. Turn left left at the next intersection, Halidon Str Avenue. Wellington Avenue further to the right and took the king on the park which is south of Newport Harbor and takes you to the city center, where tour ends on the left.
It's differs in this picturesque autumn foliage, and one of my favorite places in New England, and after the trip can believe that one of them .
